forehead pressed against the tiles. hands holding the towel rack. shower just turned off.

move slightly. stretching the shoulder muscles. popping bones back into place. or closer into place.

focus on the drops of water moving down across the body.

down the side, then across the curve of the belly.

down the inner thigh, around to the back of the knee. down the calf.

tiny wet fingers tracing across and down the body. collecting and speeding up.

shower door is slid open. breeze flows in.

goosebumps arise.

but still. you stand there like that. feeling the chill. feeling the wetness.

feeling the tile. the towel rack creasing into your palm.

finally you sigh. huge exhale. open your eyes. reach out for a towel. dry your arms from hand to shoulder.

then your torso.

followed by legs. down to knees. down to feet.

towel around your shoulders. around your waist.

slide down. sit on the floor. your back against the bath tub.

i could say a lot right now. about my day, my family, the girl. myself.

but i really dont want to.

not right now.

just know that there are people out there i love. that have moved into my heart. that i wish i could hold up a mirror to and show them what i see. the image.

vanishing dot on the map of the spot let me take you there.
